The Good Property Company, a Bristol kitchen start-up which has transacted £45 million of residential property since its inception in 2011, has secured the long leasehold interest of a studio office unit at The Paintworks development in Bristol.
The company has acquired Unit 5.1 for its own occupation off a quoting price of £210,000. Property consultants Alder King acted for the private vendor.
The 721 sq ft industrial-style accommodation is arranged over ground and mezzanine levels and enjoys excellent natural lighting with windows on three sides. The unit benefits from one allocated car parking space.
The Good Property Company was established by Susannah Cole five years ago and has since sourced, bought, sold or let more than 200 residential properties in the South West, capitalizing on the region’s buoyant housing market.
Alder King senior surveyor Tom Dugay said: “The Paintworks development, which sits inside the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone, is well-established as Bristol’s creative quarter and attracts some of the city’s most innovative small businesses. The Good Property Company will fit in well.”
Unit 5.1 is part of the original redevelopment at The Paintworks. A third phase of development is now underway to provide a further 60,000 sq ft of commercial accommodation and a fourth phase is under consideration. Alder King is agent on the commercial scheme.
