National chartered surveyor and property consultancy Sanderson Weatherall has announced an increase in turnover to £15m and 14 promotions, including eight partners, following a successful 2015-16.
The firm’s turnover rose 7 per cent thanks to the continued successful implementation of its strategic growth plan which saw the firm open a tenth office in Birmingham. Other regional offices were strengthened by an ongoing recruitment campaign which saw the Teesside office moving to new premises at Bowesfield Park, Stockton-on-Tees, and the London team doubling in size.
The firm employs around 200 people, including a total of 55 partners following the eight recent appointments. Those who became partner comprise Kevin McGorie in Newcastle; Jonathan White, Fiona Rowland and Paul Crawshaw in Leeds; John Goodchild in Manchester; Mark Sheridan in Bristol; and Lee Joyce and Ian Bell in London.
There were five people promoted to associate partner – two in Newcastle, one in Manchester, one in Leeds and one in Teesside – whilst a senior surveyor was appointed in Leeds.
Commenting on the successful year and partner appointments, Sanderson Weatherall finance director, Martin Archer, said: “Our continued focus on delivering an outstanding integrated service for clients has resulted in a very positive year for the firm and given us a strong platform for the year ahead.
“Everyone at Sanderson Weatherall has contributed to our success over the past financial year. In particular, those people who have become partners have consistently demonstrated their ability to build strong relationships and provide commercially astute advice to our clients over time. Each one of them thoroughly deserves their promotion.
“We know there is plenty of hard work to be done to build upon this performance. However, we are in a good position to capitalise upon the opportunities that our local focus and national capabilities continue to present.”
Sanderson Weatherall has regional offices in Newcastle, Darlington, Teesside, York, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter and London. The firm provides a complete range of property, machinery and business asset services across a range of sectors. These comprise retail, residential, offices, industrial, leisure, roadside, healthcare, public sector and third sector.
