East Midlands commercial property agency Innes England is gearing up to back one of Nottingham’s biggest cycling events this summer.
The firm, which has offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby, has pledged its support for Cycle Live Nottingham after signing up to sponsor the City Ride (25 June).
Innes England is celebrating 25 years in business this year and managing director Tim Garratt believes that backing the cycling festival is the perfect way to mark the milestone.
He said: “2016 is a special year for Innes England as we are celebrating our silver anniversary as a business, and we wanted to do something a little bit different to kick off the festivities.
“We have a number of keen cyclists within the team and enjoyed a number of charity rides last year, so we felt that getting involved with the City Ride was the perfect fit for Innes England.
“Our staff, clients and partners will have the opportunity to take part during the course of the day to help us celebrate our anniversary and we’d like to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and help mark this milestone with us.”
Entry to the Innes England City Ride is open, with riders able to take on one of three family-friendly, almost entirely traffic-free routes. Cyclists can take to the saddle for 2.5, 7.5 and 10.5 mile rides, all of which start and finish on Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment.
Chris Simon from Cycle Live organisers Perfect Motion added: “The Innes England City Ride routes follow much of Nottingham’s Big Track and are great for those with younger children, or new to cycling. We are very pleased the firm has chosen to support the City Ride and we are sure it will be a hugely popular event.”
The Innes England Nottingham City Ride forms part of a huge weekend of cycling which also include the Great Nottinghamshire Bike Ride taking place a day later on Sunday 26 June.
