Acting on behalf of private clients, property consultants Alder King have let the last available accommodation at Berkeley House in South Marston Business Park, Swindon to local removals and storage company A Luckes & Son Removals.
The family-owned company, which undertakes commercial and domestic removals nationwide and in Europe, has taken the 10,699 sq ft Warehouse 2 unit to supplement the storage capability of its existing facility at Marshgate Industrial Estate.
It picked the Berkeley House unit for its strategic location with easy access to the A419 and M4, flexible accommodation and competitive lease terms.
Martin Baker of Alder King’s Swindon office commented: “It was a pleasure negotiating the lease of Warehouse 2 with the tenant. We’re confident they will be excellent occupiers for the building and wish them every success with the expansion of their business.”
Berkeley House is a substantial mixed-use building, originally part of the Vickers aircraft manufacturing site, which has been updated in recent years to provide modern business accommodation. Other occupiers include serviced offices provider Easy Offices.
The owners commented: “As landlords, we are delighted to welcome Luckes & Son to the property and would like to thank all of our agents who worked together as a team to ensure a successful letting of the property.
“Following completion of a significant package of refurbishment works, the site is now fully let for the first time in its long history – testimony to getting the right professional representation.”
Alder King acted jointly with Smethurst Property Consultants and Loveday.
