Innes England’s property asset management team has received a boost this month after promising graduate surveyor Enfys Thomas has achieved chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The Nottingham Trent University graduate passed the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) first time round, qualifying as a chartered surveyor. The qualification requires a minimum of two years’ structured training, including practical experience, leading to full membership of the RICS.
Enfys said: “I am delighted to have passed my APC, as the achievement is something widely recognised and respected by my clients, colleagues and the business community. I studied Real Estate at university and working towards accreditation was a good chance to really put my theory into practice.
“I began my APC during my university sandwich placement and I finished it at Innes England where I received a high level of support. I am looking forward to the next phase of my career with Innes England, and am proud to be a qualified chartered surveyor.”
This is the latest success for Innes England’s RICS accredited training programme, which runs across the firm’s three regional offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.
Tim Garratt, managing director at Innes England, said: “Qualifying as a chartered surveyor is a fantastic achievement and marks an important milestone in Enfys’s career. As a Nottingham graduate we are thrilled to have provided Enfys with the training and support she needed to stay in the city and build a career here.
“Our APC training programme is a vital part of our business and we are proud to support our trainees throughout the learning process, they gain a great deal of confidence and experience, which prepares them well for when they qualify.”
