A national award winning advertising agency has become the latest tenant to collect keys for the capital’s flagship One Central Square office scheme.
S3 Advertising will inhabit the fifth floor of the building, the first in the wider Central Square regeneration project where up to one million sq ft of new office, residential and retail space will be constructed over the next few years to include the New Broadcasting House of BBC Cymru Wales.
All of S3’s employees will relocate to the new 6,600 sq ft offices which are four times bigger than the company’s current premises and will feature quirky, innovative and unique design characteristics which will set them apart from traditional offices.
The proposed bespoke features will include eye catching and unusual communal areas, state of the art client facing zones, and a range of recreational facilities intended to stimulate creativity, encourage team building and reduce stress.
S3 has encountered phenomenal growth over the past five years, rapidly expanding from a three person start-up to an industry leading enterprise which now employs 27 members of staff, including two recently appointed board directors.
The company is one of Wales’ leading national advertising agencies in the UK and is recognised for the excellence of the service that it offers to clients, including Mr Tom, the National Farmers’ Union, the WRU, Cardiff City Football Club and Brecon Carreg.
One Central Square has been developed by Rightacres Property Company and recently purchased by Legal & General. Along with Blake Morgan, the property has also been confirmed as the new Headquarters for MotoNovo Finance and Julian Hodge Bank, amongst others.
Matt Jones, CEO of S3 Advertising, said, “Our business continues to go from strength to strength, attracting the most talented and highly skilled individuals in Wales to offer the highest standard of service for clients across the UK. We’ve experienced significant acceleration over the last couple of years and have seen our turnover, and staff numbers, quadruple in size as a result. The move to One Central Square, and our own investment in the new premises, is indicative of this exceptional progress and the continuing success of our business as we look to expand and improve our service offering.
“We are a Welsh business operating on a truly national scale and believe that we have earned our place amongst the other market leading organisations which will operate from One Central Square. Being part of the capital’s flagship business development reflects our commitment to our clients, the Welsh economy and our future expansion plans. It will enable us to continue our phenomenal success on a UK-wide scale whilst also attracting and retaining the best talent in Wales.”
Alluding to the unusual design of the new offices, Matt added, “When considering our options for relocation it was a priority for the new premises to be close to national rail services, but also provide us with the opportunity to create an inspirational environment and an aspirational place to work. We are extremely excited about the office redesign because it will be a first for Wales and set us apart, whilst encouraging creativity and facilitating a highly collaborative and productive working environment. This will not only benefit our team but also our clients, other creative industries in Cardiff and the wider business community as we are able to expand the services we offer.”
Tom Roberts, Senior Transactions Manager at Legal & General, said “We are delighted to welcome S3 Advertising to One Central Square and believe the building offers the perfect environment to support the organisation’s impressive and continued expansion. S3 are an excellent addition to the building and we are excited about their plans for the space and creative flair they will bring which will complement the other tenants who are largely from the finance and professional services sectors. Attracting another forward thinking and growing tenant such as S3 is further evidence of Central Square’s status as Cardiff’s premier office location”.
