tp bennett has added to its architectural team with a new senior Director appointment.
Neil Sterling joins tp bennett as Director to further strengthen the architectural team’s position in the commercial office, residential and retail markets.
With over 16 years’ experience of front end design and hands on delivery, Neil will bring to the role a practiced and expert approach to the delivery of design-led projects.
This will build on the role he held at his previous practice, 3DReid, as Divisional Director, where he was responsible for concept design, project delivery and developing the practice’s BIM strategy.
During his career, Neil has led a range of large and high profile projects, including the Basing View masterplan, the Hyde Park Hayes masterplan and the East India Dock masterplan, Laing O’Rourke headquarters building in Dartford and multiple aviation projects, including the concept design for Male International, and King Khalid International Airports.
In addition, Neil is a member of RIBA’s Large Practice Group; he has lectured with the Forum for the Built Environment and BCO and is a guest lecturer on the University of Middlesex BIM Management Msc course. He will continue to represent tp bennett at these forums as part of the practice’s commitment to the future of the profession.
Bill Soper, Principal Director at tp bennett, said: “Neil brings to tp bennett a unique set of qualities that will continue our commitment to conceptual design. This is with equal focus on delivery and the use of technology and reinforces our high quality standards and commitment to collaborative working. We welcome him to the practice.”
Neil Sterling, Director, said: “tp bennett offers a platform of encouragement and high profile schemes for architects to contribute to the success of its projects. The practice is working on some of the most significant projects in London and this is why it attracts architects that want to explore new ideas and approaches to the delivery of architecture. I am looking forward to working on the development of new opportunities as part of the team here at tp bennett”.
