Handelsbanken, the fast-growing relationship bank, has recently signed a lease which will see it opening its doors on 31st May2016 to customers in Petersfield. Branch Manager Sean Kanavan and his team of experienced local bankers have full responsibility for establishing their branch in the Rotherbrook Court office park, off Bedford Road. Relationship building has already begun with individuals and businesses looking for bespoke service, consistent support and sensible decisions based on their individual circumstances.
Handelsbanken has a reputation as one of the world’s strongest banks, with over 850 branches in 25 countries worldwide. During the economic downturn, the bank was still able to more than double its British branch network and now supports customers in 207 communities across the country.
Due to its strong focus on long-term relationships and high levels of personal service, the bank has been rated top for customer satisfaction for the seventh year running in an independent survey of British banks’ personal and business customers.
Alongside Sean Kanavan, the Handelsbanken Petersfield team includes Corporate Banking Manager Darren Holman, and Individual Banking Manager Ben Heath. All team members know the area well and are already working extensively with the local professional community.
Commenting on the new branch opening Sean Kanavan, said:
“Within a few short weeks we will be bringing our overwhelming focus on customer satisfaction to a potential new customer base in and around Petersfield. We look forward to building strong, lasting relationships by offering first class service, competitive products and always providing our best advice for the customer, untainted by targets or bonus incentives.”
Local agents Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell were retained by Handelsbanken to find an appropriate location for the new branch. Director, Stuart Mitchell comments: “To have a Handelsbanken branch based in Petersfield is good news for the town and we were delighted to have been able to help the bank secure Rotherbrook Court. Being located close to major transport links and having ample parking will make it easy for customers to visit and we look forward to seeing the branch opening for business.”
All customer-related decisions in Handelsbanken are taken by branches, and each customer has direct line access to a dedicated relationship manager who is empowered to make decisions.
Handelsbanken has maintained high credit rating and not needed any government or shareholder support during the economic downturn. The bank has such a strong international reputation that it was once again rated one of the world’s strongest banks, by financial information provider Bloomberg.
