Acting on behalf of private investors, Hellier Langston has completed the letting of 3 Optima at Northarbour, Portsmouth to national builders merchants Selco.
The 30,000 sq ft warehouse, previously occupied by online cycle retailer Wiggle was let without requiring a comprehensive marketing campaign, an early surrender of Wiggle’s lease was agreed in order for Selco to take occupation. A 15 year lease has been agreed. Hellier Langston director Andy Hellier commented ‘We had been tracking Selco’s south coast requirements for a considerable period, with the extreme shortage of good quality industrial accommodation available on the M27 Corridor we believed Optima would be a logical fit. It provides them with a prominent, modern warehouse with excellent access to surrounding area and motorway network.’
Selco is a major brand within the Grafton Group and now have over 40 branches nationwide. Their acquisition of Optima site allows them to continue with their ambitious growth plans in the UK. ‘The store offers a great opportunity and is planned to be opened by the summer’ commented David Burkey, Head of Acquisitions and Development Grafton plc.
