Having been instructed by the Co-op to find the perfect tenant for their former store in Keyworth following their relocation to the Main Square, FHP have delivered, agreeing a letting to Castle Bedrooms, an established furniture specialists based in Derby.
Despite the unit receiving a considerable amount of interest over the years, including from those who wanted to purchase the freehold, it was not a straight forward process as the Co-operative required FHP to find a tenant who wouldn’t conflict their convenience store concept.
Matt Revill of FHP who let the unit comments:
“Since our instruction, we received a great deal of interest on this property, however the strict guidelines for our client prohibited many of the users that aimed to acquire the unit.”
Matt Revill consequently agreed a letting to Castle Bedrooms, a Derby based company who were looking to expand. He adds:
“After receiving pressure from local council and residents of Keyworth to let the unit due to its deteriorating façade, we offered the unit to Castle Bedrooms who had an active requirement for the Nottinghamshire area.
As soon as we visited their current showroom, it was clear that Castle Bedrooms would be the perfect operator for this unit.”
As well as providing home, office and kitchen refits, Castle Bedrooms are the East Midlands’ leading bespoke fitted bedroom specialist. This will be their second showroom, in addition to their base in Derby, and they plan to open in summer 2016.
