Media buying and planning agency, Space & Time Media, has relocated its Manchester office into Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers’ newly refurbished 433,637 sq ft Exchange Quay office development in Salford Quays.
Space & Time Media has signed a 10 year lease for 3,156 sq ft in Number 8 at Exchange Quay. Canning O’Neill and Savills are agents on Exchange Quay.
Space & Time Media, one of the UK’s leading independent and award-winning media agencies, has relocated from nearby Furness House into Exchange Quay. The move forms part of the firm’s long-term positioning strategy following a recent management buy-out from Emerge Limited.
The recent completion of Hunter’s £10M investment programme has upgraded the six office buildings at Exchange Quay to Grade A specification, extensively remodelled the public realm and introduced a broad range of occupier facilities including a Costa Coffee outlet and Londis Retail Shop which are managed by award-winning site services partner, Elior.
Since the start of this year, insurance firm 1st Central has signed a 10 year lease on 10,838 sq ft of offices on the 6th floor of Number 1 at Exchange Quay and American multinational conglomerate corporation, 3M, has relocated some 120 staff into a 12,500 sq ft suite on the 4th Floor of Number 8 at Exchange Quay. They join a host of new and existing occupiers who have committed to Exchange Quay in the last year, resulting in over 80,000 sq ft of new lettings.
Jeremy Birkett-Jones, investment director at Hunter, said; “The lettings momentum at Exchange Quay shows no sign of slowing and our agents are presently handling high levels of interest across the range of buildings. As city centre supply becomes even more limited, we are witnessing an upsurge in enquiries from companies looking outside of the centre who are drawn to the parking and lifestyle benefits a scheme such as this offers.”
Ed Hill, Associate Director at Space & Time Media, comments; “Space and Time’s Manchester office is the second largest in the agency, and as the business grows following the MBO we’re expecting to expand further. We selected Exchange Quay due to the success of the recent investment, which has created a positive and quality working environment with lots of great amenities. Our business model focusses on representing national businesses at a regional level, so the proximity to the motorway network also means our valued clients are within easy reach.”
James Dickinson, Director at Canning O’Neill, continues; ”Occupiers can really appreciate where Hunter’s investment has gone at Exchange Quay and the environment that has been created is playing a huge part in attracting new companies to the development.”
Exchange Quay’s six office buildings range from 26,151 sq ft to 116,684 sq ft. The development, which also boasts its own dedicated Metrolink tram stop, is strategically located just off Trafford Road which links Salford Quays to both Manchester City Centre and the major motorway networks via the M602.
