The increase in activity in the Nottingham office market continues as FHP complete the first letting at Orchard Place to Nottingham based training company ‘Remit Training’, a national apprenticeship provider in motor vehicle, IT, business, hospitality and health and social care, who will be upsizing from Ash Tree Court at the end of the month.
At 9,200ft², it means the organisation will be able to combine all of its administration, finance, sales and marketing, IT and apprenticeship operations under one roof.
Rob Foulston, Chairman at Remit Training, comments:
“Remit Group’s move to new larger offices at Nottingham Business Park provides us with the additional capacity needed to be able to bring three of our existing offices in Nottingham and Mansfield under one roof. Although the head office is only moving just around the corner, the new premises increase our overall capacity by about a third and will enable our teams to work in a much more practical environment.”
FHP are also in the late stages of negotiations on behalf of another occupier for their expansion. Mark Tomlinson, Associate Director at FHP Property Consultant comments:
“At the end of 2015 there were some 36,000ft² of available offices over four vacant office buildings at Orchard Place, most of which had been vacant for some time. However, since the beginning of 2016, in addition to Remit’s expansion, terms have been agreed on a further 22,000 on the Park, which leaves limited availability and marks a positive start to the year at Junction 26 of the M1 motorway.
Whilst we still have some way to go to get back to pre-recession levels, rental values are improving driven by an increasing lack of supply and improved demand.”
For companies who have a requirement for 6,000ft² or more at Junction 26 of the M1 motorway either on Phoenix Business Park or on Nottingham Business Park, there are now just two or three options to choose from.
