An industrial unit being sold in Avonmouth is expected to attract keen interest because of the shortage of freehold opportunities in the area.
Property consultancy Knight Frank has been instructed to handle the sale of the former King Lifting workshop in King Road Avenue, Avonmouth – a 5,426 sq ft warehouse on a 0.7 acre site with direct access into Avonmouth Docks and out to the M5 motorway.
Josh Gunn of the Knight Frank industrial agency team in Bristol said: “The industrial property freehold market is moving very fast and growing businesses are competing hard for available stock in the Greater Bristol area.”
Knight Frank – jointly with GVA Bilfinger – recently sold the 9,371 sq ft former fire station in Pilning, Avonmouth on behalf of its owner to local company Soilfix within two weeks of the property coming to market. They achieved in excess of the £495,000 quoting price.
Josh Gunn said: “The speed with which the fire station building was snapped up – above its asking price – shows the appetite for freehold industrial buildings in Avonmouth.”
The King Lifting property comprises a detached workshop configured to also provide ground and first floor offices, with additional offices housed in portakabins on the large secure yard.
