Lutterworth-based chartered surveyors and property consultants, Wells McFarlane have been named as one of the East Midlands top five agents for office deals for the second successive year.
In the annual competition held by Estates Gazette, which ranks companies based on the number of deals undertaken across all property types, Wells McFarlane once again secured a place as one of the region’s most active agents, placing fifth in the office category.
“With many of the tables topped by national or multi-office regional practices, we consider it an excellent achievement to secure this ranking as a single office practice,” commented Wells McFarlane’s director, Michelle Mills. “2015 was certainly a year of consolidation as confidence returned to the market, meaning office space for expanding small and medium sized businesses commanded a premium. A number of our deals were as a result of business start-up or growth, which paints a positive picture for the regional economy.”
Michelle added: “Looking ahead, the focus is on lack of stock and lack of quality stock. Whilst some speculative development is beginning to materialise, this is not immediately available so demand is still outstripping supply. We are looking forward to another year working across all sectors including office, industrial and retail.
