The offices team of leading UK commercial real estate adviser, Bilfinger GVA, has been appointed as sole letting agent on a landmark office building in Stoke-on-Trent.
The No. 2 Smithfield development features approximately 80,000 sq ft of highly specified, BREEAM Excellent offices over ground and four upper floors, with flexible, open-plan floorplates of 19,175 sq ft, set around an attractive central atrium.
Andrew Venables, Director at Bilfinger GVA, said: “As the highest specification office building currently available in the city, No. 2 Smithfield represents a fantastic opportunity within Stoke-on-Trent’s new central business district.
“No. 2 Smithfield can easily accommodate a range of different occupiers and would perform perfectly as either a headquarters location for a single occupier, or for multiple tenants from approximately 10,000 sq ft upwards. We look forward to working closely with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to identify suitable occupiers for this landmark building.”
Located in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, No. 2 Smithfield is just a short walk from the city centre’s retail amenities. The city’s new bus interchange and over 1,000 car parking spaces are also situated less than a five minute walk from the building.
No. 2 Smithfield forms part of the first phase of the wider 1.2 million sq ft mixed-use Smithfield masterplan for the wider central business district site.
Councillor Jack Brereton, Stoke-on-Trent City Council cabinet member for regeneration, transport and heritage, said: “We are very pleased to have Bilfinger GVA on board to assist us in securing occupiers for No. 2 Smithfield. This is a genuine landmark building within Stoke-on-Trent and forms a centrepiece to our aspirations for the wider Smithfield masterplan, helping us to drive forward the central business district and enhance the city’s commercial offering.”
Stoke-on-Trent is already home to a number of major brands including Vodafone, Wardell Armstrong, Screwfix and Michelin.
