A leading healthcare manufacturing company has secured additional premises in Taffs Well to further expand its operations in Wales.
Pelican Healthcare Limited, a manufacturer of disposable medical products, has taken a new 10 year lease of 11,686 sq. ft in Fairfield Industrial Estate in Taffs Well, for storage and distribution of its disposable medical instruments used primarily for stoma care products and feminine healthcare. The company, which was formed in 1994, has taken the additional premises to support operations at its existing base in Cardiff Business Park, Llanishen.
Cushman & Wakefield acted as the sole agent in letting this unit meaning that both Fairfield Industrial Estate and the adjacent Fairfield Business Park are now fully occupied.
Colin Kent, Operations Manager at Pelican Healthcare Limited, commented: “We’re delighted to have secured the warehouse at Fairfield Industrial Estate to further expand our operations in Wales. This expansion comes just weeks after we announced a £400,000 investment in a new sterilisation unit, hence this is an exciting time for the company with the expansion to new premises a key element in the continued growth of our business.”
Chris Yates, Senior Surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The deal represents our fourth letting in the last 24 months at the wider Fairfield Business Park, all of which have been secured against a backdrop of competing available properties in the immediate vicinity, and the estate is now fully occupied. Pelican Healthcare recognised the strength of the estate location, with its excellent road communications onto the M4 and A470, to serve as an ideal base for expanding its operations”.
