Welsh rugby legend Ryan Jones helped Swansea Bay Business Club celebrate St David’s Day at their most recent lunch.
Aside from the Six Nations of course, St David’s Day is the highlight of spring in Wales, and what better way to celebrate than a traditional lunch in the company of a former Wales captain – and a little networking?
This lunch went ahead at Parc Y Scarlets, where the former Osprey recounted tales from his head-turning career during which he represented the nation in some unforgettable successes.
Swansea Bay Business Club President, Hayley Davies, said: “We were very pleased to be able to welcome a Welsh sporting giant to our St David’s Day lunch in Llanelli and he was certainly very popular among our attendees, who were in a sporting frame of mind thanks to the current success of the Wales team in the Six Nations.
“Swansea Bay Business Club events are very valuable for anyone who wants to meet with key local business figures in a relaxed and informal setting, while enjoying great food.”
The next Swansea Bay Business Club event welcomes Rain Newton Smith, Director of Economics from the CBI, to Swansea’s Village Hotel on 22nd April, while The Right Hon Kenneth Clarke will be at Swansea’s Liberty Stadium on 20th May.
