Leading Nottingham-based property consultancy Bruton Knowles has appointed an additional chartered building surveyor, as the firm continues to strive to meet demand while growing its client offering across the region.
Nottingham Trent University graduate Luke Voce joins Bruton Knowles with more than three years’ experience at global construction consultants, Faithful+Gould where he was predominantly responsible for design, specification and project management services across a broad range of schemes in the East Midlands.
He joins the Castle Gate-based multi-disciplinary consultancy just over seven months after the office’s first chartered building surveyor, Tom Burton, was appointed to establish the faculty in the East Midlands region. Tom and Luke will work together to strengthen the firm’s surveying offering to new and existing clients.
Luke said: “I’m delighted to have joined the team at Bruton Knowles. The appeal for me was the opportunity to work alongside Tom, while developing and broadening my skill set and gaining exposure to new work types.
“The commercial property market in particular in and around Nottingham is most definitely more buoyant than it has been for many years, so I’m looking forward to contributing to Bruton Knowles’ continuing success and development of its building surveying service line going forward.”
While at Faithful+Gould, Luke specialised in project services for public sector clients, inclusive of comprehensive extension and adaptation schemes at schools in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Nottingham office partner at Bruton Knowles James Bailey said he was looking forward to working with Luke, as he was very impressed with his broad project experience to date and enthusiasm for the role.
James said: “Luke is a great new addition to our growing team here in Nottingham. We were very impressed with him at interview and saw that he would complement Tom’s skills well, while facilitating additional capacity, to meet demand.
“We now have two experienced and passionate chartered building surveyors on board, which is part of our strategic growth plan for 2016. Last year was one of our most successful years to date, as we saw 20% growth in client numbers and a strong set of new recruits join the team.
“Our aim is to continue with this year on year growth and to further develop our surveying offering with more new appointments over the next 12 months.”
