Cardiff-based telecom company Glamorgan Telecom has named a new management team, after the successful completion of a management buyout.
The development will support the company’s growth and expansion strategy throughout the UK.
Kelly Bolderson (39) is the majority shareholder and managing director at Glamorgan Telecom, following two management buyouts and the retirement of original founder Neal Pughe in October 2015.
Having started her career with the company when she was 17, Kelly quickly progressed into a senior position and now owns 73 percent of the company shares.
Kelly will lead a newly formed and highly experienced management team to direct and support Glamorgan Telecom’s diversification into new areas of the telecom sector.
Matthew Evans (41), has been named as sales director at the company, and will oversee the expanding sales department. Matthew has been with Glamorgan Telecom for 17 years, and owns a 22% share in the company, having also been involved in the management buyout process.
Mark Bolderson (42) has been announced as the new technical director, and will lead the company’s growing engineering team. Having joined Glamorgan Telecom in 1994, Mark’s 22 years of experience will ensure the company continues to stay ahead of the evolving telecoms market.
Supporting the growing engineering and sales teams will be operations manager Hayley Jones (40) and financial controller Leanne Sullivan (42). Hayley has been with Glamorgan Telecom for 10 years, and will oversee all administration, customer training and customer support within the business.
Leanne joined the company in 2012 and will be responsible for carefully managing the financial department to support the company’s expansion plans.
Discussing the management restructure, Kelly said: “After becoming majority shareholder, there was a great opportunity for us to formulate a new, dynamic management team from all sections of the business to ensure the foundations are laid and maintained correctly going forward to allow us to achieve our growth targets for the next three years.
“We have expanded our existing great team, with new administration and customer support staff, new telesales and new sales team members. Our geographical area has also been expanded to give us more presence and coverage across areas not previously managed by us.”
As part of its expansion strategy, Glamorgan Telecom will be looking to add experienced staff to its engineering and sales teams in the near future, with six new recruits expected within the sales and customer support department over the next six to nine months.
