The Stretton Property Group has secured planning permission from Cheshire East Council for a three acre site on Orion Park, Crewe. The site will be developed in conjunction with Total Developments, with work expected to start in mid-February.
The planning permission allows for the construction of three warehouse units, associated office space, loading bays and car parking spaces. The three warehousing units will total 57,625 sq.ft, with each unit also including first floor office space.
As an indication of the confidence they have in the site, the joint venture partners are going to build the units out in one go on a speculative basis. Construction is expected to begin in mid February with an anticipated completion date of October 2016.
Ed Chantler, Managing Director of the Stretton Property Group, comments: “We are delighted to have received planning permission for this exciting new development. We believe that there is a strong demand for industrial units in this size range and are confident that we will quickly be able to attract tenants looking to take advantage of this excellent space and location.”
The site is conveniently located off the A534 near to Junction 16 of the M6 and Crewe train station, providing excellent access to the UK’s transport network as well as Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham as well as other key regional centres.
