South West property consultancy Alder King has won the property industry’s prestigious Estates Gazette “Most Active Agent” award for the eleventh year in a row.
The consultants won the award again after completing the most commercial property deals in the South West region during 2011, and were specifically recognised for completing the most deals office, industrial and retail sectors.

Despite the challenging market, we were able to increase the number of deals we completed across the region during 2011 in comparison to 2010”.
Alder King’s notable office deals during 2011 included the largest letting of the year in Bristol comprising 27,200 sq ft (2,527 sq m) at One Glass Wharf, Temple Quay to Creston Group Plc.
The Firm’s retail team completed a number of deals at the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke on behalf of Brookmaker Ltd Partnership to occupiers including Argos.
On behalf of Terramond, Alder King’s industrial team let unit D Poplar Park, Severnside, comprising 50,000 sq ft (4645 sq m) to Elemis.
Alder King’s Taunton office let 70,673 sq ft (7030 sq m) at Mead Avenue, Yeovil on behalf of Palmer and Harvey, to Wincanton Logistics.
Meanwhile, Alder King’s Gloucester agency team witnessed a significant increase in the number of deals it completed across the office, industrial and retail sectors.
In Exeter, Alder King acted on the 40,000 sq ft (3716 sq m) pre-sale of an HQ office Building at Exeter Business Park to ATASS, for Summerfield Developments.
Alder King’s Swindon office acted on behalf of Glebe Asset Management in the sale of the former Comet Building in Westbury, comprising 295,000 (27,406 sq m) on 22 acres (9 hectares), to Welton Bibby and Baron.
