Following an extensive property search in the city centre and in the Edgbaston district of Birmingham, Cooke & Arkwright has secured newly refurbished offices for leading global trade credit insurer, Atradius Credit Insurance. The 2,560 sq ft Grade A offices on the first floor of 10 Harborne Road in Edgbaston, have been acquired from Woodborne Group on a ten year lease. Atradius is relocating from nearby Hagley Road, following lease expiry, to the upgraded accommodation where they will benefit from reduced overheads through energy efficiencies, as well as a layout more suited to their office and staff requirements.
Tim Lawley, Associate with Cooke & Arkwright’s Business Space team said, “We have acted for Atradius at locations across the UK for a number of years, and in Birmingham we were instructed to find new office space either in the Edgbaston area where the company has been located for ten years, or within the city centre. The preference was for Edgbaston where a number of other financial organisations are based. Various opportunities were shortlisted and finally narrowed down to 10 Harborne Road. Complete refurbishment by the landlord, The Woodborne Group – which occupies the top floor – made the building the perfect option, providing contemporary accommodation to a high standard, and a layout which much better suits our client’s needs.”
Richard Reynolds, Regional Manager for Atradius Midlands Hub has told us that he and his team are delighted with their new home; Richard said: “Atradius has a strong association with businesses in the Midlands region and we have a long history in Birmingham. This new chapter in our history promises to take us from strength to strength: and the timing couldn’t be better, with the region showing real signs of growth we can all look forward to a positive future. The new office suite is just around the corner from our previous location on Hagley Road and is easily accessible from both city centre and motorway links. The addition of a dedicated visitor zone is a bonus and we can’t wait to show it off to our brokers and customers.”
Tani Dulay, Director at Woodbourne Group said, “Atradius are an industry leader in their field and we are delighted to welcome them to 10 Harborne Road. This transaction reflects our ability to deliver high quality space and the commitment to our significant growth plan over the next couple of years.”
Atradius has been headquartered in Cardiff Bay for twenty years, with regional hubs in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Cooke & Arkwright advised the corporation on previous recent relocations in London and Manchester.
