A uPVC products manufacturer has seized a window of opportunity to double the size of its premises as it prepares to increase its manufacturing capacity in 2016.
Uniseal (UK) Ltd has agreed a five-year lease for Unit 28A, Zone 3, Burntwood Business Park, Staffordshire, with London & Cambridge Properties, which owns and manages zones 3 and 4 of the park.
The 2,886 sq ft unit will be used as a showroom for products and new stock available later this year, including Guardian warm roof conservatories, the PremiDoor 88 sliding door system, and PremiSlide windows and doors.
“We will be one of the first companies in the Midlands to release the PremiDoor and PremiSlide products, which is a real coup for the company,” said Steve Cooper, managing director of Uniseal UK Ltd.
“The extra room will enable us to increase our manufacturing capacity in the existing unit we have, which is very close to our new premises. We were keen to stay here as we expand the business because it is convenient for the staff and is also good for road links.
“We were very pleased when LCP offered us a unit that meets our needs and enables us to forge ahead with our expansion plans.”
The additional space has led to the company taking on three new members of staff, which takes the payroll up to 24.
Paula James, industrial lettings manager at LCP, said: “It’s always gratifying when an existing tenant wants to remain with us when they are planning an expansion. We work very closely with our tenants and will always do our best to accommodate extra space when they are growing their businesses.”
