A thriving Portsmouth print and office equipment company is primed for expansion after relocating to larger premises near the M27, in a deal brokered by commercial property specialists Vail Williams on behalf of their clients, Forelle Estates.
Printware is already recruiting for additional new sales teams after agreeing the move from Hilsea to 10,000 square feet of office space on the ground floor of Shore House at North Harbour Business Park, close to Junction 12 of the M27.
In a sign of the improving demand for office space in the Solent corridor, Vail Williams helped to settle the deal between the expanding business (part of The Danwood Group) and Forelle Estates, which owns Shore House. Hughes Ellard was joint marketing agent.
Printware’s new base will contain a training centre, customer innovation experience area, auditorium, sales offices and meeting rooms. Relaxation and break-out staff areas, including games entertainment, are provided to help enhance the employee working environment.
The deal means that Shore House now has 9,800 square feet of office space available on the first floor either available as a whole or as two suites: one of 4,500 square feet and the other 5,300 square feet. The quoting rent is £16.00 per square foot.
Philip Holmes, Head of Solent Business Space Vail Williams, added: “This is an excellent result for Printware because it gives them the space and location to expand strongly and sustainably.
“The deal shows how getting commercial property decisions right can make a huge difference to a business and give it that competitive edge. We’re delighted our combined local knowledge and expertise were able to support our client so successfully.”
Rod McCarthy, Managing Director at Printware, said: “The relocation to an office building close to the motorway will provide us with the ability to access a wider pool of potential employees, further expanding opportunities for local people, whilst being more accessible to accommodate customer visits to our new facility. We are striving to create the best working environment for our staff, balanced by high energy activity and fun in equal measure.
“The relocation to larger offices will provide further scope for expansion and provide a first class customer experience. We will showcase new print technologies in a purpose built demonstration area along with our wide portfolio of other office technologies such as interactive screens and projectors.
Our new interactive areas will allow prospective customers to experience a variety of innovative technologies in partnership with the world’s most recognised brands, demonstrating Printware as the complete office solution provider.
“This expansion forms part of The Danwood Group’s continuing investment in growth across our business. Our experience with Vail Williams has been a tremendously positive one, enabling us to complete this goal in a thoroughly professional manner.”
