Harris Lamb has appointed a graduate building surveyor as it embarks on its 2016 recruitment drive.
The business announced earlier this month that following an excellent Investors In People report and further to achieving its most successful year on record, that it would be looking to increase its workforce.
Marcus Andrew has now joined the consultancy as a graduate building surveyor.
Having graduated from Coventry University three years ago, Marcus obtained hands-on experience at Green Deal Resourcing, and has now joined Harris Lamb’s building surveying team to enhance its offering and develop his skills further.
Paul Wells, who heads up the building consultancy team, said: “The department is incredibly busy overseeing a diverse range of projects all over the UK and we were very keen to bring Marcus on board to put his skills into immediate practice.
“He will be a valuable asset to his colleagues as he manages projects, provides support to clients in helping them implement carbon reduction and energy saving measures and shares his insight around the Green Deal and its implications to clients,” he said.
Marcus added: “Harris Lamb has a great reputation within the industry for both retaining staff and ensuring they are continually developed. Being appointed into such a busy team I’ve really hit the ground running and I’m looking forward to applying the skills I’ve learned over the past few years to bring a number of live jobs to their conclusion.”
The building surveying department is one of the most active in the agency and one that the business plans to appoint further surveyors to as a matter of priority in order to manage its increasing workload.
