Leading commercial property specialist Stoford has given the office market a major lift by completing the redevelopment of historic Ellenborough House in Cheltenham.
The Birmingham company developed and asset managed a £2million upgrade to the 47,000sq ft Georgian facade listed building at Wellington Street conservation area on behalf of the landlord Ignis UK Property Fund.
The project has enabled solicitors Rickerbys LLP to relocate from the ground floor to Grade A-quality accommodation twice the size on the second and third floors at the superb town centre location.
Stoford worked closely with Quantum Construction in the refurbishment process which included stripping down bare walls, fitting new aluminium-frame windows and doors, and installing new roof-mounted plant for modern heating and cooling services.
The work was carried out in normal office hours on a phased basis without disrupting Rickerbys’ staff and clients.

Stoford has completed a similar project to restore Birmingham’s grand former Stock Exchange building in Great Charles Street, where tenants EFG Private Bank now benefit from larger and more efficient office space.
