Toolstation and Majorfax have both taken accommodation at a recently redeveloped vacant factory in Bridgeman Street, Walsall owned by Goold Estates.
Toolstation, the direct sale and online supplier of trade tools, accessories and hardware products, have recently opened their new 5,394 sq ft front unit having committed to a 10 year lease with a break at the fifth year whilst Majorfax Limited , a specialist supplier for machined and finished castings are purchasing the remaining 6,600 sq ft.
Dominic Goold, Managing Director of Goold Estates said: “We have extensively redeveloped this vacant factory unit which included new cladding to the front elevations, splitting it into two and demolishing the offices at the front to create more parking. We recognised that the factory could be adapted to provide excellent frontage onto Bridgeman Street and improved car parking which would be attractive to a trade counter occupier.
We continue to seek opportunities around the Midlands where we can invest money to produce a product which will be attractive to occupiers.”
This deal follows an extremely busy period for Goold Estates following the £1.79 million purchase of Redmill Snack Foods site in Wednesbury, lettings to Euro Car Parts and Newlife Foundation at Lakeside Business Park, Cannock and at the Stamp Factory, Walsall to Vale Brothers.
