Pick Everard, the national multi-professional construction industry firm, is expanding its reach across the UK with a new office in Birmingham in 2016.
With more than 500 employees and ten offices across the UK, the move comes as Pick Everard prepares to take on more work in the West Midlands after a number of new contract wins.
Duncan Green, managing partner of Pick Everard, said: “As we prepare to celebrate our 150th year in 2016, we have developed a strong and sustainable workload in the West Midlands.
“We have worked on a number of notable projects in the area including delivering the £180 million HMP Featherstone, one of the largest and most economical prisons in the UK and recently we have also delivered major regeneration schemes including our work on Walsall Town Centre, attracting major retailers.
“This growth has led us to committing further to the West Midlands with the announcement of the opening of a Birmingham office. We look forward to creating more jobs in the area and bringing inward investment on the back of contracts secured.”
Pick Everard has a growing portfolio in the region, which includes a role as one of the partners delivering the UK’s first Integrated Project Insurance (IPI) project in Dudley.
The project, which will see a new Centre for Advanced Building Technologies at Dudley College delivered, pilots the Government’s new IPI procurement model.
Duncan added: “The planned arrival of HS2 and devolution makes Birmingham an attractive investment and we have seen a demand on our services increase significantly in the West Midlands over the last few years.
“We pride ourselves on our ability to work incredibly well with our clients, deliver a streamlined process and innovate at every level of what we do, whether that be design, project management or construction. Pick Everard is continually growing and we look forward to opening our eleventh UK office and supporting future jobs in the West Midlands.”
Pick Everard, was founded 150 years ago and has consistently innovated. It has won multiple awards for its work and one of its employees recently secured the RICS Young Surveyor of the Year Award in the Building Surveying category.
