Teesside commercial property agents Dodds Brown and Connect Property North East (CPNE) have been appointed by developer Sandgate Park Ltd to market a new retail centre in Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees.
Sandgate Park will consist of 12 retail units, anchored by a convenience store, with strong interest from a variety of local, regional and national retailers.
Subject to planning approval, construction of the 14,262 sq ft retail development is expected to start on site this Spring (2016) with completion in the Autumn. It is located off Myton Way, Ingleby Barwick, Stockton-on-Tees, TS17 5LL, at its junction with The Rings, and prominent from the main Myton Way frontage.
“Ingleby Barwick is one of Europe’s largest private housing estates with household numbers expected to exceed 25,000 this year. This new high quality neighbourhood development will provide restaurant and convenience shopping and other services for this growing population, and represents a real opportunity for a whole range of retailers,” said joint letting agent Richard Wilson of Dodds Brown.
“We have had interest in the remaining units from potential occupiers such as convenience store operators, estate agents, bakeries, butchers, hair salons, bookmakers and coffee shops. As the units are not yet built, we can still accommodate specific spatial requirements, subject to planning and design limitations, from individual retailers,” said joint letting agent Andrew Wilkinson of CPNE.
“The development should accommodate a restaurant/brasserie as a key focus for the parade and to differentiate itself from the existing retail offer in Ingleby Barwick.”
A planning application for the development at The Rings was submitted before Christmas 2015 and is expected to be determined in February 2016.
