Top ten accountancy firm Mazars has taken more space at its 45 Church Street offices in Birmingham to cope with the firm’s growth in the Midlands.
Mazars, which was named National Firm of the Year in the recent British Accountancy Awards, has outgrown the tenth floor which it exclusively occupies.
Birmingham managing partner Lee Cartwright said “When we moved into Church Street in 2010 we wanted an international office for an international firm at the heart of an international city.
The past year has seen Mazars’ Birmingham head count grow from 113 to 135 as the office goes from strength to strength.
“As a result we have outgrown the tenth floor and have taken extra space on the eighth floor of 45 Church Street,” said Mr Cartwright.
He said the growth had been supported by a 50 per cent increase in tax work and a 100 per cent increase in revenue from corporate finance work, with other service lines also contributing to the success of the Birmingham office.
Mazars has 19 offices across the UK, forming a key arm of the wider international, integrated global firm.
Globally, Mazars has focused on strengthening its international presence in order to better serve its international client base. In doing so, it has more than doubled in size in the last ten years to over 1.2billion euros turnover and has increased its geographic presence from 38 to 77 countries with 17,000 professionals to assist major international groups, SMEs, private investors and public bodies at every stage of their development.
In April 2015, Mazars in the UK announced a merger with the German audit and tax consultancy Roever Broenner Susat, and in January 2016 announced the merger with Chinese audit firm ZhongShen ZhongHuan.
