Swansea-based CPR Call Blocker has expanded into new premises following a sustained period of growth. The company, which is headquartered in central Swansea, has opened a new 5,000 sq ft office and warehouse facility in the city’s Enterprise Zone.
CPR Call Blocker manufactures and distributes the world’s bestselling nuisance and scam call blocking products. The devices, which connect to a landline, allow consumers to block unwanted calls at the touch of a button and are pre-programmed with over 200 rogue numbers known to CPR Call Blocker.
The company’s IT, web design and customer service functions will be based at the new facility in Lakeside Technology Park. As well as having extensive office space, the new premises has a large warehouse on the ground floor which CPR will make use of as it continues to grow.
Since it started trading in 2010, CPR Call Blocker has seen a huge demand for its core product both in the UK and in the US. As well as selling directly to the public online, the CPR Call Blocker product range is also available on Amazon and through major retailers such as Tesco, Argos, Homebase and Maplin. The company now employs 32 people across both its Swansea sites and is currently looking for additional E-commerce and customer support staff.
Kris Hicks, Head of Marketing at CPR Call Blocker comments: “Our recent success in expanding into global markets prompted the need for larger premises as we continue to recruit more staff and grow. Nuisance calls are a global concern and this fact is shown in the demand for the call blocker abroad. Our move marks the beginning of an exciting time for the company as we embark on our ambitious growth plans and concentrate our efforts on the US and Australian markets.
“While our products have traditionally been popular in the consumer market, we have recently seen a spike in sales from SMEs that are being targeted by scammers and unwanted callers. Businesses are wasting time and losing money by answering these unwanted calls and we will be focussing on ridding the nuisance calls menace to businesses in 2016.”
