Property consultancy Innes England is at the forefront of the major office refurbishment being undertaken by leading Derby law firm Nelsons Solicitors.
The firm’s Sterne House office in Lodge Lane is undergoing a transformation into an airy and spacious open plan setting – a project that is being overseen by the building consultancy team at Innes England.
The refurbishment will include the addition of an impressive glazed atrium as well as a brand new conference room on the building’s top floor.
Mike Thorne, director at Innes England, has been working with Nelsons to look after the firm’s interests as work takes place.
He said: “Nelsons had been located at Sterne House for a long time, but the building was in need of modernisation so having looked carefully at the options they decided that a refurbishment programme would deliver what they were looking for.
“We have been working closely with the landlord and the architect from the outset to ensure that the specification is what has been agreed and, as work has progressed, that it is being delivered.
Nelsons staff moved out of the building during 2015 and it is expected the firm will move back early this year.
“This is an exciting project for Nelsons, which forms part of the firm’s growth strategy in Derby and we are very pleased to be working with them to help deliver what is going to be excellent, modern office space,” added Mike.
“The transformed office space will provide their staff with a high quality working environment.”
