Conder Developments Ltd, part of the CWC Group, has commenced its £10m speculative development of a 118,000 sq ft new distribution building on its Dove Valley Park site on the A50 at Foston, Derbyshire.
Constructed to a high specification, the new building is expected to attract a major occupier from the distribution and logistics industry creating in excess of 60 jobs. Paul Shanley, MD of Conder stated ‘… The A50 dual carriageway is a major National trunk road serving both the M1 and M6. Dove Valley Park is located on a junction midway on the A50 giving it local, regional and National appeal as evidenced by our existing occupiers, JCB, Kuehne & Nagel and Futaba, to name just a few. The new unit known as DVP118 will address the shortage of such buildings in the Midlands. Works have commenced on site and are due to complete by next April….’
Frank McArdle, Chief Executive of South Derbyshire District Council visited site to witness the construction works under way and stated “we are delighted that DVP continues to grow, providing yet more jobs and investment in the district.”
