Independent property consultancy GBR Phoenix Beard is bolstering its service offering with the appointment of John Marsden as Director of Rating. John joins from CBRE where he was head of the rating hub in Birmingham, having joined the firm in 2000 as a graduate. He specialises in rating and mitigating liabilities for a wide range of commercial property types, including appeals against rateable values in respect of accuracy of factual data and opinion of value, empty rates pursuing nil rates via challenges to rates bills, completion notices and other rating advice.
