Harris Lamb has expanded its planning team with the appointment of Sean Rooney, who is returning to the city after spending three years working in Manchester.
Sean, who has a background within the private sector, has relocated from a technical and environmental consultancy, where he built up a strong foundation working on a diverse range of impactful projects including flood alleviation schemes for the Environment Agency; sensitive projects within the nuclear sector; waste related renewable energy facilities and transport related projects for HS2, local councils, SWTRA and TfGM.
Originally from Solihull, Sean said he had been attracted to Harris Lamb because of the consultancy’s excellent reputation within the commercial property field and its well-documented support to its reputation within the industry and its commitment to its staff.
“I was keen to become part of a professional consultancy that provided the opportunity to further myself and my career, and Harris Lamb is a well established and well respected business with a strong reputation for providing award-winning service and for advancing its team.
“I am looking forward to working closely with the planning team and colleagues across the business to share my own knowledge and skills and learn from them in turn,” he said.
Patrick Downes, Director of Planning, added: “Sean has amassed a great deal of relevant and diverse experience in the last few years, and will be a welcome addition to our team.
“His understanding of environmental impact and the associated considerations in particular will provide us with insight and make him a real asset when it comes to preparing thorough planning proposals on behalf of our clients.”
