Earlier this year, UBC broke the news about a brand new business centre at Birmingham Business Park in Solihull, near Birmingham Airport. UBC acquired the entire building – 1310 Solihull Parkway – and has since been busily refurbishing and fitting out the interior space with furnished offices, meeting rooms, lounge areas, and a welcoming reception area.
Now that the work is finished and the centre is open for business, it’s time to make it official. So on Wednesday 20th January 2016, UBC is holding a lunchtime launch party at the new centre to formally cut the ribbon.
Councillor Glenis Slater, Mayor of Solihull, will officially open the Business Centre and guests will also hear from Tara Tomes, Deputy Chair of Birmingham Future and Ambassador for LoveBrum. Tara will provide an informative talk on the important local causes she’s involved in and the benefits of setting up a business in the West Midlands.
There will be a drinks reception from 12.00pm with a light lunch and the opportunity to network with other local businesses and take a tour of the new centre. UBC will also be raising money on the day for its appointed charity, The Teenage Cancer Trust.
Ahead of the official launch party, UBC has already started welcoming clients into the Business Centre. One of them is Itelligence, an SAP consultancy and data solutions company. Deborah Freeman, Head of HR at Itelligence, says of their new workplace:
“Thanks to UBC we now have additional office facilities in Birmingham at a convenient location to support the growth of our business. Great service and facilities delivered with a smile by a committed team, thank you.”
