A Birmingham based logistics company has expanded their business with the acquisition of a detached 70,000 sq ft warehouse at Fortnum Close in east Birmingham, on the M42 corridor. PGS Global Logistics was established by MD Paul Eyles 25 years ago and has grown significantly since. Since acquiring the additional warehouse, PGS Global Logistics have added 24 new staff to their workforce to support growth. This brings their current head count to 168. They now operate two large scale warehouses in east Birmingham which are located almost side by side. PGS also have depots in Droitwich and Dudley.
David Bayliss, Commercial Director at PGS Global Logistics explained “ Having experienced considerable growth in recent years, we decided to invest heavily in our workforce, equipment and facilities to ensure that we continue to provide a best in class service for our diverse client base. Our new warehouse at Fortnum Close has enabled us to expand very quickly and more importantly from our customer’s point of view, seamlessly. The investment will ensure that our target to become a £ 20m turnover company will now be achieved within 3 years. “
PGS Global Logistics provides bespoke Parcel and Pallet delivery services for a range of clients including those concerned with large scale haulage. With storage space now for more than 10,000 pallets and a Pick&Pack facility, PGS Global are one of the West Midlands largest genuine 3PL providers. Their central location only adds to a great platform for national distribution.
Chris Keye of Darby Keye Property acted jointly with Colliers International for the vendor of the warehouse that PGS Global Logistics have acquired.
