National property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton has been instructed to market the Rothwell Town Football Club site on the instructions of the joint administrators of Rowellian Football and Social Club (In Administration).
The football club site is located in Cecil Street, Rothwell, Northamptonshire NN14 2EZ.
The site comprises a four acre site that is currently used as a football club and
has a football pitch and associated stands, a former social club/ballroom and a large car parking area.
Richard Baker from Lambert Smith Hampton said, “The site is located next to a junior school and a large amount of housing and as a result would be ideally suited for a residential use, subject to planning consent.”
He added, “Rothwell Town Football Club has played at the site for a considerable
period of time and it is a shame to see their site placed on the market. However
the sale of the site is an opportunity for all of the creditors of the Rowellian Football
and Social Club to be repaid, and any surplus funds to be put towards a new
facility for the club”.
The site is available with full vacant possession or with the football club remaining
in occupation – subject to negotiations – and the administrators are inviting
unconditional offers for the site to be submitted.
Joint Administrator Gary Pettit from Marshman Price said “The sale of the
old football club site provides a great opportunity for the club to start again and
potentially be relocated to a new ground. We are willing to look at exploring a
variety of different types of deals with interested parties in an attempt to get the
best possible deal for the creditors”.
