Worcestershire commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon has expanded its property management team with the appointment of a new Facilities Management specialist.
With more than 10 years property and facilities management experience, Emily Phillips joins GJS Dillon from DTZ, where she managed a number of executive portfolios, such as Mucklow, Calthorpe Estates, Canal & River Trust and National Grid, ensuring a smooth delivery of Facilities Management services.
At GJS Dillon, Mrs Phillips will work closely with Managing Director John Dillon on the firm’s growing portfolio of management clients, which includes many local property owners and large local developers such as Maximus, managing its premier office developments at Wildwood Triangle in Worcester and at Topaz in Bromsgrove.

GJS Dillon is presently taking on the management of many properties acquired by SIPP (Self Invested Personal Pension) funds.
Mr Dillon continues: “Recent changes in SIPPs rules, continuing low interest rates and the increasing willingness of the banks to lend, have made the purchase of freehold properties occupied by a business very attractive for its directors via their pension schemes. But all these properties require a management service.
“By being local, hands-on, and providing a comprehensive management strategy for the building we are winning this sort of business from large national surveyors trying to do this from a remote location. In some cases they never even visit the property, but still charge the SIPP a hefty fee for their services.”
