Birmingham-based investment group Real Estate Investors plc has announced a prestige letting.
Smurfit Kappa, one of the leading paper-based packaging companies in the world, has taken 2,310 sq ft on the 5th floor at 75-77 Colmore Row.
The giant group has over 43,000 employees across 33 countries and revenue of €8.1 billion in 2014.
Ian Clark, REI senior asset manager, said: “It is a real coup to attract such a renowned company.
“We are very pleased they have chosen to move into quality city centre offices, following works to the building by REI. It is yet another indication of how attractive it is to be positioned at the heart of the business and professional quarter.”
Smurfit Kappa has signed a five year lease at £20 per sq ft.
75-77 Colmore Row has 19,095 sq ft of office space behind a Grade II listed façade.
It was once home to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP – REI has its own HQ on the second floor.
Other occupiers are Davisons Solicitors and architects Webb Gray.
Mr Clark added: “We are also under offer on the third floor – so there is not much space left.
“We have made significant progress. Interested parties will need to move fast if they are to take advantage.”
