Commercial property specialists from NG Chartered Surveyors have sold an 11,265 sq ft warehouse in Ilkeston to an expanding electrical wholesaler buying group.
NG has sold Unit B6, Langham Park in Stanton by Dale, Ilkeston, out of receivership to Associated Independent Electrical Wholesalers (AIEW), a company which was formed in 2001 to meet the needs of small and medium sized independent electrical wholesalers. AIEW quickly grew from an initial 12 members in the first year to stand at over 100 single and multi-branch businesses now.
Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “This deal goes to prove once again that good quality units in the East Midlands region are being sold quickly. Ilkeston in particular is a high demand area for tenants looking to expand or relocate, and we’d urge any landlords with vacant or soon-to-be vacant premises to get in touch with us.
“We wish AIEW all the best with their expansion plans – we’re sure they’ll find Langham Park suits their business perfectly.”
Andrew Dunning from AIEW added: “We have been looking for the right premises for some time and it was important for us to remain in the Ilkeston area. This unit gives us extra warehouse space with high quality offices. With Sunny and NG’s help we have been able to complete quickly and look forward to growing our business here. ”
Partner at Nelsons Solicitors Riaz Dudhia acted for Associated Independent Electrical Wholesalers (AIEW) Ltd. He said: “AIEW is a new client for Nelsons and we are thrilled to have helped in the process of finding a new home for this growing local business in such a quick time frame. I have dealt with several similar deals in the last few months in this locality, indicating that the demand for small units is most definitely on the rise.”
Langham Park, Lows Lane, is conveniently located within an established industrial and distribution area and is within 5 minutes of J25 of the M1 Motorway, some 3.2 kilometres (2 miles) distant.
