Four JLL graduates in Scotland have qualified as chartered surveyors with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), underlining JLL’s commitment to developing the next generation of property professionals in an improving market.
Edinburgh based surveyors Ben Dobson, based in JLL’s Industrial and Logistics team and Janey Douglas, based in Valuation, both achieved passes in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).
The test requires a minimum of two years’ structured training, including practical experience, leading to full membership of the RICS.
Glasgow surveyors Claire Watson based in Office Agency and Scott McKenzie based in Building also achieved their chartered surveyor qualification.
In September of this year JLL Scotland added three new graduates across its offices, bringing the total number of staff based in Scotland to over 120.
JLL’s Graduate Recruitment Campaign was recently commended in the 2015 Property Marketing Awards for raising the profile of property to those who wouldn’t necessarily have had the sector on their career radar.
Alasdair Humphery, Lead Director at JLL in Scotland, said: “At JLL, we’re proud of our commitment to developing the next generation of property professionals, so I am delighted all four of our graduates here in Scotland have achieved this significant milestone in their fledgling careers. Passing this assessment is no mean feat, and the achievement reflects their commitment to surveying and their hard work and dedication over the past two years. I am looking forward to seeing them develop with JLL and continuing to make a valuable contribution to the work we provide for our clients.”
