A forklift truck hire and servicing company has more than doubled its workshop space after moving to new Black Country depot.
GHL Liftrucks Ltd (Grant Handling) has agreed a five-year lease for Building 84, Bay 1, The Pensnett Estate, after its Brierley Hill unit proved too small for its Midlands regional base.
After agreeing terms with London & Cambridge Properties, which owns and manages the industrial estate, the company now has more workshop space and has taken on an additional two engineers, taking the staff roll call to 18.
Mark Sheldon, finance director at GHL Liftrucks, said: “A growth in business across the Midlands meant we needed additional workshop space to undertake the workload. LCP worked closely with us to ensure we found a unit that fulfilled our needs, with additional office, storage & workshop space to house our growing workforce & business expansion.
“We are extremely pleased to be in the new premises – it is ideally situated in the heart of the Black Country, enabling us to reach our customers across the Midlands region easily and quickly and close to our original home.”
Paula James, LCP industrial lettings manager, said: “GHL Liftrucks Ltd needed far more space for its workshops and room to accommodate office staff. The Pensnett Estate unit provided exactly what it was looking for and we are delighted to have helped a company expand its operations in the area.”
