Automotive equipment supplier Valeo has leased a 53,036 sq ft warehouse at Faraday Park in Swindon.
The company specialises in the design, production and sale of components, integrated systems and modules for the automotive industry. It has signed a six year lease on Unit 110 at Faraday Park, at an annual rental of £318,500. Landlord Lancashire County Pension Fund c/o Knight Frank Investment Management (KFIM) was advised in the sale by national property consultant Knight Frank and local joint agent Whitmarsh Lockhart.
Christopher McCorkell, Asset Manager at KFIM, said: “We are delighted with the letting as it formed an integral part of our business plan, following the acquisition of Faraday Park as part of the Fern Portfolio in 2013.”
Russell Crofts, who heads Knight Frank’s industrial agency team in the region, said: “Faraday Park is widely acknowledged as offering Swindon’s best quality industrial units and Unit 110 provides a striking appearance, modern warehouse facilities and around 10,000 sq ft of stylish offices.
“Unit 125 is also available for rent at Faraday Park, offering 9,345 sq ft of warehouse and offices at a quoting rent of £6.95 per sq ft. A recent major refurbishment of this unit has included the installation of solar panels.”
Faraday Park is situated on Faraday Road, in the prime industrial area of Swindon, with direct access onto the A419 dual carriageway and within 1.5 miles of Junction 15 of the motorway.
