GVA, the UK’s largest independent commercial property consultant, has asserted its dominance in the public sector consultancy market once again. This is a significant success for the firm, and particularly its Cardiff office, which provides a range of specialist property consultancy services, such as asset valuation and planning advice to public sector clients including the Ministry of Justice, Intellectual Property Office, Defence Estates, Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, and Dyfed Powys Police, along with several county borough councils.
Under figures recently released for 2010/11 by the Government Procurement Service (formally Buying Solutions) the company was ranked as the Number one supplier of services with a 44% market share. This is a remarkable achievement on a framework that has 8 panel members.
Commenting on this latest accolade, Steve Gibbon, director at GVA’s Cardiff office said: “Our public sector clients are a key part of our business and this recent statistic highlights our commitment to client development, partnership working and being a long term trusted advisor. This is particularly evident in the recent appointment by the Ministry of Justice to manage their property portfolio across Wales, the Midlands and the north of England.”
GVA is accustomed to the tag of number one consultant to the public sector. In May 2011, the Estates Gazette ranked GVA as the top supplier to Central Government departments, following research backed by the Coalition’s transparency agenda, whilst GVA was also named as the most favoured property advisor by public sector respondents in Acritas’ Sharp Property Brands Survey 2010 when directly compared to its peer group.
