Milford House, a major landmark office building in Salisbury is currently undergoing complete refurbishment before it goes on to the market.
The substantial office building at 43-55 Milford Street was purchased by Store Property Investments last year.
Salisbury-based property consultancy Myddelton & Major and Warwick Martel of Romsey are acting on behalf of the company with a view to letting the accommodation following the re-fit.
Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Spear said: “This is a major undertaking which is breathing new life into the building. This will be the first high quality refurbishment of City Centre offices to be undertaken for a number of years.
“We are pleased to have been working with Chichester-based Store Property Investments on this project from the beginning and I am anticipating strong interest once the works are complete.”
“Anyone passing will have seen a tremendous amount of work going on inside the building and the end result will be superb suites of which Salisbury will be proud. New office suites will range from 1,254 sq ft to 7,944 sq ft.” added Simon Martel, of Warwick Martel.
Milford House is a modern, purpose-built office building providing open plan office accommodation across three floors. The building has an attractive, refurbished entrance foyer with lift leading to all floors.
Individual suites are being fitted out to a high standard with suspended ceilings with recessed LED lighting, fitted carpets, perimeter trunking with power and data cabling. The suites will all have air source heat pump heating and air conditioning. All the toilet and kitchens are being completely refitted.
The refurbishment will be complete in December 2015.
The building has the added advantage of almost 60 on-site car parking spaces.
Milford Street is situated in the heart of the city centre and houses a variety of office occupiers as well as professional services, retailers and hotels.
In addition to the on-site car parking, there is a multi-storey car park at Culver Street (accessed off the inner ring road system) and nearby on-street parking.
Ross Moyler of Store Property said: “Milford House will be an excellent example of the high standard of refurbishment we undertake on all our projects and we are therefore confident our agents will be successful in finding new tenants for the building on our behalf.”
Confidence in the commercial property market remains high. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors reported Global Commercial Property Monitor 2015 second quarter results showing commercial real estate sector activity continuing to grow.
This was supported by easing credit conditions, rising confidence and expectations of strong returns on investment – with the picture set to remain in place over the next twelve months.
