Goold Estates have let the remaining industrial space at the Stamp Factory in their home town of Walsall to Vale Brothers, the world’s largest brush manufacturer specialising in horse grooming brushes.
Vale Brothers will occupy 29,500 sq ft having taken a 7 year lease concluding the successful redevelopment and refurbishment of this 64,647 sq ft site. The unit has since been sold to a private investor with Goold Estates retaining the management.
Dominic Goold, Managing Director of Goold Estates explained: “We bought the site in December 2013 leasing part of the premises on a short-term basis to the sitting tenant, Walsall Security Printers. We subsequently sold the two storey warehouse element amounting to 24,817 sq ft to Synergy Biologics which we refurbished on their behalf having also obtained planning permission for a service yard which made the unit significantly more useable.
“I recently sold E Jeffries and Sons Ltd to Vale Brothers, enabling me to concentrate on my property business, so it’s been great to have secured this deal with my former saddlery business who are the proud royal warrant holders for horse grooming brushes.
“This project demonstrates our ability to spot an opportunity and then work with occupiers to ensure they are provided with the accommodation they need to run their businesses effectively.”
Goold Estates have a number of other projects in Walsall where they are based including the redevelopment of a vacant factory in Bridgeman Street and the forthcoming St Matthews Quarter, retail and leisure development.
