Evander Properties, the specialist developer and asset manager of logistics and industrial property throughout the UK, has announced that it has received detailed planning consent for its latest urban logistics scheme at Test Lane, Nursling, Southampton.
The scheme will comprise three state-of-the-art logistics units of 40,000 sq ft, 50,000 sq ft and 116,000 sq ft with ample yard space and extensive car parking in Southampton’s premier distribution location.
Located on junction 1 of the M271 the site provides immediate access onto the southern motorway network, Southampton Docks and City Centre.
Commenting on the approval Neil Dickinson, Director of Evander Properties said “Opportunities to develop new distribution accommodation in Southampton are extremely rare. We have worked tirelessly with the planning officers and the local community to strike the right balance between sustainable development that is 100% relevant to Southampton’s economy and the requirements of the local stakeholders. We are fielding a number of existing enquiries and look forward to starting on site as soon as possible”
Also speaking about the announcement, Jerry Vigus Director at Lambert Smith Hampton goes on to comment “With the shortage of available industrial and warehouse units in Southampton this is exactly the good news the commercial property market needed. There are a number of local and national businesses who have been looking for premises within the Southampton area and with currently no vacant units on the Nursling Industrial estate this will satisfy some of the demand”.
The scheme is funded by Rockspring Property Investment Managers. Lambert Smith Hampton are the retained letting agent.
