New to FHP’s Professional Services department 6 months ago, Associate Director, Jon Marriott, has been a successful addition to the Derby branch of the leading property consultancy, having conducted several portfolio valuations across Derbyshire and assisted in dilapidations claims.
Of his established client base, Jon has most predominantly been involved in the valuations of the entire property portfolio of a veterinary practice across the Amber Valley, as well as a local YMCA’s property portfolio, whilst his varied knowledge of the area was put to practice in advising the acquisition of a £1.5m unit in West Bromwich, Birmingham.
The move to Derby has brought Jon back to his home county, having most recently worked in Nottingham for a major global property consultancy, and his 15 years of experience across both the public and private sectors has aligned with FHP’s in-depth knowledge of the East Midlands market.

Assisting with a landlord’s dilapidations claims by providing Section 18 advice on a substantial mill property, as well as giving specialist expert witness advice in relation to the rental terms of the new lease, is just one of the rewarding projects I have been involved in since starting, as well as conducting valuations which were used by local banks.
It’s fair to say that coming into an independent practice after working in a corporate environment has been wholly refreshing. Entering the progressive nature of FHP has allowed me to excel with a more individualist approach, whilst giving a great leisure and business mix, allowing me to train for my triathlons!”
