Property consultants Alder King have let two adjoining office units at Gordano Court in Portishead to speciality chemical and gas supplier A-Gas for its new headquarters. This is the latest in a series of over 20,000 sq ft of office lettings to high tech occupiers and their suppliers in Portishead by Alder King over the past 18 months, reflecting the town’s growing commercial profile.
A-Gas, an international company with state of the art storage, blending and packaging facilities at the A-Gas UK site in Portbury, has taken an additional 4,288 sq ft of accommodation in units 7 and 8 Gordano Court. This modern self-contained office building, which also provides up to 20 onsite car parking spaces, will become the headquarters for A-Gas International.
The addition of the new office is part of a major strategic investment by A-Gas to facilitate the company’s expansion in the growing markets of UK, Europe, Asia and the Americas. A-Gas International Directors along with Business Systems, Marketing and Finance support totalling nine staff from the Portbury site have now relocated to Gordano Court.
A-Gas, represented by Williams Gunter Hardwick, agreed a 10 year lease off a quoting rent of £14 per sq ft. Alder King represented the private landlord.

“We’ve seen the town’s fortunes grow significantly in recent years through a mixture of major residential and commercial development. The town has benefited with a string of office lettings to world-class businesses, creating high quality employment opportunities.”
Over the past 18 months, Alder King has let over 11,000 sq ft at Marine View Office Park in Portishead, including 4,199 sq ft to subsea engineering company Viper Subsea, 3,439 sq ft to global engineering firm Cyient and 3,439 sq ft to a leading-edge contract research organisation.
